Against Clevedon the rinks were shared 3-3 but the rink of Ray Fenwick, John Newman and skip Derek Hurst turned the match in favour of the Saxons to collect 14 points.

Victoria Ladies won all 3 rinks in a friendly at Clevedon Prom. Sue Cooper skipped her rink of Rita Bailey, Chris Stevens and Ellen Newport to a 9 shot win.

In the Top Club Competition away to a very strong Bristol team, Tony Bray won the 4 wood singles,John Newman and Mike Cooper won the Pairs and Mike Stocker skipped his rink to victory to seal a 3-2 win and a home match against Yatton “A” in the next round.

This fixture was postponed as Victoria could not field enough players. Winscombe has sportily agreed to re-arrange the game at a later date.

Sunday 18th May 2014 – North Somerset Bowling Association Four Dimensions – (Away)
Success was achieved away at Congresbury with Victoria winning 3-1 in the North Somerset 4 Dimension. Mike Stocker and Mike Cooper again skipped their rink and Pairs to victory and Colin Gazzard recovered from 16-20 down to win 21-20, an excellent comeback to snatch victory.

Victoria entertained City of Wells in a Sunny Sunday 3 rink mixed friendly, Victoria won all 3 rinks with Nancy Whyte leading her rink of Brian Johnson, Ellen Newport and skip Dave Fairhurst to a healthy winning margin.
