Victoria hosted Worcester County Ground in a mixed friendly. With the game starting in wet conditions the game was finely balanced but to Victoria’s advantage the sun returned and with the drying conditions Victoria went on to win by 20 shots. In the County League the “A” team won at Taunton by 7 shots and 2 rink wins skipped by Mike Cooper and Will Harrison. The B” team enjoyed a similar win against Nailsea “A” winning on the rinks skipped Malcolm Campbell and Tony Bray and securing a well earned 10 points. Despite home advantage Victoria “C” were unable to collect any points in their game against Clevedon Prom “B”. Saturday 11th April  –  President v Captain
On a sunny afternoon the outdoor season got underway with the traditional President v Captain game.
It can be said a game played on a green of 2 halves. One played in very warm sunshine and the other in Siberian conditions. However everyone enjoyed the fresh air.
Following the game which the Captains team managed to come back from the jaws of defeat and sit down cooked meal was enjoyed by the bowlers and their partners.
