With the game starting in wet conditions the game was finely balanced but to Victoria’s advantage the sun returned and with the drying conditions Victoria went on to win by 20 shots. On a sunny afternoon the outdoor season got underway with the traditional President v Captain game.
It can be said a game played on a green of 2 halves. One played in very warm sunshine and the other in Siberian conditions. However everyone enjoyed the fresh air.
Following the game which the Captains team managed to come back from the jaws of defeat and sit down cooked meal was enjoyed by the bowlers and their partners.
