On Friday the 27th June 2014 Somerset Bowls Association celebrated their first ever County fixture. The first game was played at Victoria Bowling Club against Gloucestershire Bowling Association on the 27th June 1914 and this centenary fixture was witnessed by the Mayor of Weston-Super-Mare, Mrs Rosslyn Willis and the Deputy Mayor, Miss Jennifer Bindon.
